is this a whale or a shark. can it bite you and like it? does it have teeth? was it scary to be right next to it? I would have freaked out being next to this thing.

This is a shark as large as a whale. Like a whale, Whale Sharks are filter feeders feeding on plankton and small fish. It is the largest fish in the ocean and can reach lengths of 40-50 feet. The average about 25 ft in length. The largest of the two I dove with was only 15-19 ft long. They are not dangerous at all and seem real tolerant of humans. They are less aggressive than some of the Koi I've seen at the parks around here.
